spherical miracle, everything orb, the all ball

These photographs are re-realizations of a sculpture that i created during an artist residency at the Hotel Maria Kapel in Hoorn, NL. I spent four months building this giant sphere that was radiating handles in all directions, but in the end it turned out to be more of an oblong egg-shape with its fair share of mountains and valleys. I have now decided that the perfection of the sphere is more important than the accuracy of the world around it and offer these images as corrections of the flawed original.
